Campari CASK TALES

Introducing a rare creation – a collection which expertly finishes Campari bitter in specially selected ex-American Bourbon, Jamaica Rum and Mexican Tequila casks.
The result is a range of expressions evoking tales from across the globe.

THE ORIGIN OF
CAMPARI CASK TALES

Campari’s story, beginning in 1860, is steeped in history, passion and creativity. Founder Gaspare Campari invented a revolutionary liquid known for its unmistakable, vibrant red colour and bitter taste profile. Now an icon of the vibrant Aperitivo culture of Milano, Campari’s flavour profile has remained nearly identical since this time.

After years of experimentation and in tribute to Gaspare Campari’s vision, Campari Cask Tales has been born. The collection invites you to explore the tales of Wild Turkey Bourbon, Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum and Espolòn Tequila as they infuse with those of Campari bitter.

THE CRAFT OF

CAMPARI CASK TALES

In creating this new collection Campari Herbalist& Master Blender, Bruno Malavasi used his knowledge of each liquid and the processes used to create them to predict how their profiles could add a new twist and depth to the signature DNA of Campari bitter.

Well-used casks are individually chosen for each finishing to ensure that the flavour from the previous liquids shines through in each expression. Once selected, these barrels are transported to the home of Campari: Italy, where the finishing process then takes place under the care of Bruno’s team before bottling.

After stringent testing, the optimum time for finishing was found to be around six months. This timeframe allows for individual, complex profiles to surface in each expression without overpowering the unmistakeable Campari bitter taste. Each barrel is tasted before bottling to ensure the perfect balance has been met.
